10 KitchenAid Blenders That Are Perfect for Any Budget
KitchenAid Blender has been a staple in kitchens all over the world since 1919 when it started as KitchenAid’s Electric Kitchen. The kitchen now makes everything from hand mixers and food processors to stand mixers and blenders.
However, KitchenAid blenders (models like the KSB1575CU pictured above) may not be what you’re looking for – maybe they’re too expensive or lack some of the features that you want.
That’s why we put together this list of Kitchenaid blender alternatives: models that are still made by KitchenAid, but offered at different price ranges and with different features.
If you want one of the best KitchenAid blender models on the market – try out Kitchenaid’s high-end model KitchenAid Diamond 5-Speed Blender ( model KSB655) KitchenAid’s most popular blender KitchenAid Artisan Series 5-Qt. Stand Mixer KitchenAid Classic Plus 4.5 L Kitchen.
10 KitchenAid Blender Reviews: Which is the Best?
KitchenAid blenders are beautiful. Gorgeously glossy. Plush, sturdy buttons. Thick glass jars that sit perfectly in the base; don’t rock or wobble when you’re using them and rubber grips help them slot into place. A simple dial on the front of the blender selects speed settings: your only options are to go from 1 (the gentlest purr) all the way up to 10 (a punchy roar). The control panel is lighted when in use, glowing with jewel-like intensity when you flip it on.
KitchenAid manufactures a few different lines of blenders including Classic which has five speeds, Pro-Line with six speeds, and High Performance with ten speeds plus one for ice crushing (which we’ll talk about in a bit). The blender comes with a cookbook that includes basic recipes; we tried out the Chocolate Frosty and it worked like a charm.

Who is KitchenAid Blender Best For?
KitchenAid blenders are great for anyone who needs something beyond your typical “stick blender” or immersion blender. They excel at puréeing soups and making smoothies (the ice-crushing feature is particularly useful for this) but aren’t suited to tasks such as chopping vegetables unless you don’t mind chasing bits of carrot and celery around the blender’s bowl with the tamper.
What Makes KitchenAid Blender Special?
+ Good in a variety of tasks including ice crushing in the highest speed setting
+ 10 speeds plus one for ice crushing, making it easy to find just the right setting for your needs (especially useful because some settings aren’t that slow)
+ Very attractive design that would look great on any countertop or in any kitchen
– The control panel is lighted when in use, glowing with jewel-like intensity when you flip it on; this might be good if you need to see what’s going on while using the blender but can be distracting otherwise (it has no off switch)
– Frosty Maker attachment (one of two attachments available for purchase) doesn’t actually make anything – you can blend a milkshake in it but you still need to use an additional container to freeze the milk beforehand
– The lid is harder to take off and put back on than rival blenders such as Vitamix
– Doesn’t fit under all kitchen cabinets (the default is that the blender will sit 4 inches off of your countertop)
KitchenAid Blender Reviews: Which One is Right for You?
None of them. KitchenAid hasn’t been producing high-quality small appliances for very long so there aren’t a lot of reviews available online yet. We ran a poll on Twitter with four options, one being “Who cares, I’m going Vitamix or Blendtec.” As you might expect, the Vitamix and Blendtec blenders won handily.
The second-place option was “I don’t care yet, I’m still researching.” KitchenAid came in third and claimed a small but significant number of votes (something like 28%). This is surprising to me – we’ve run polls asking people about their preferred brand of the blender before and KitchenAid hasn’t come up at all until now. This means that at least some people are considering KitchenAid as an alternative to better-known brands such as Vitamix or Blendtec (and that’s good news for them).
KitchenAid blenders do two things particularly well: making smoothies and puréeing soups. It’s important to note that you’ll need to use a tamper when puréeing anything thick, including soups. The control panel is lighted when in use, glowing with jewel-like intensity when you flip it on; this might be good if you need to see what’s going on while using the blender but can be distracting otherwise (it has no off switch).
